WELCOME TO MY HEART 2021
Welcome to my heart is a very personal project as the name indicates.
It
is an installation in which I invited people in small groups to hear me play some live music and listen to a recorded text I wrote.
On the wall there was this huge abstract drawing I’ve made. I prefer to let people to make their own mind about the meaning of this drawing.
However, it does represent a durational and bodily practice as this drawing took some hours to make and is approximately 2x4m.
The recorded text is written from a memory I had as a child that I couldn’t completely grasp. The memory of going to my grandfather’s grave. I tried to write it as if I was still in my younger self’s mind.
The installation from the outside seemed like a fort made of bed sheats and inside their was a duvet on the floor and a couch for people to sit on.
I tried reproducing the sort of forts I would make when I was younger in my living room.
